The Balance Garden does not rely on dramatic gestures but on precise proportions, functional spaces, and long-term balance. It embodies coherent, unadorned architecture, where everyday use becomes effortless and natural.

Urban environment

The Balance Garden is a well-organized residential park intervention on the edge of the urban fabric, where functionality and the fundamental requirements of contemporary living meet—quietly, without bold gestures. The building’s location and site layout reflect an urban mindset: the structure seems to stretch across the plot boundaries, yet it is divided into three eight-story blocks, each articulated with internal courtyards.

Human scale

The proportions and placement of the masses create a human scale. The articulation provides smooth transitions between public spaces, semi-private courtyards, and private residential areas. The façades’ warm, slightly brown-toned plaster changes continuously with the light throughout the day, while the light-edged balconies add rhythm, depth, and subtle dynamism to the façade planes.

Spatial relationships

The three blocks are built on similar principles, yet each has its own distinct character. Ground-floor garden connections, terraces on the upper levels, and varied entrance arrangements create a diverse, layered spatial experience. The proportions of façade details, cladding, and openings consistently convey a restrained yet high-quality design throughout.
