Urban integration
The Westfalia Building is located in Budapest’s 13th district, in the transitional urban zone of Lőportárdűlő, where inner-city blocks meet newly developed residential areas. The building, consisting of a ground floor and seven upper levels, integrates into the diverse surroundings with its compact and simple massing.

Façade Articulation
The building has two distinct faces, clearly differentiated both externally and internally. The street-facing façade is clad in dark brick, giving the building a strong and distinctive character, while its materiality and rhythm harmonize with the surrounding urban fabric. The brick surfaces are articulated with a regular yet restrained window system, resulting in a generous appearance that fits well into the streetscape.
In contrast, the inner, garden-facing façade is finished with light plaster, creating a more open and welcoming character. Here, the structured yet subtly varied arrangement of balconies softens the rigidity of the frontal composition, establishing an intimate and domestic atmosphere with a direct connection to the enclosed, landscaped inner courtyard.

Spatial connections
The apartments are organized along a central corridor system that opens towards the garden as an external access gallery. From compact studios to multi-bedroom units, each apartment is provided with a terrace or balcony, ensuring natural light and good solar exposure.

Sustainability
The building services are designed with energy efficiency in mind: a heat pump system ensures low energy consumption, meeting contemporary sustainability standards.
